Elephant Rides may not be
the way to explore Thailand

The emotional life of Thai Elephants (elephas maximus) is little understood - except by those few who have been lucky enough to get close to their hearts.
Separation from their families - the most important element in their lives - is a deep sorrow that working elephants carry along with the tourists on their back.
Removing them their natural environment is a sin against their species, the guilt of which we must carry along on our shoulders as we ride on their backs and look down on the destruction of the natural world.
Think twice before you book your elephant ride.

Elephant Hope for Compassion
Elephants hope that they may never be separated from their relatives, that they may always be together to nurture one another as families do.
Elephants hope that they may never be held prisoners and forced to carry the heavy burdens of mankind.
Elephants hope that they may be free to roam the ancestral land once more, to claim their inheritance, to plant the seeds of the future forests and to render the valleys fertile and green.
Elephants hope they may never fear man again, that mankind, finally, becomes merciful and compassionate.
Grant elephant soul its highest wish ‘to go home’ and YOUR families will be blessed with future life on this planet. |
